Federation Clemente – Gippsland

2019 Graduates

This year Clemente was held at Traralgon East Community Connect. The Creative Writing unit was delivered and four women are seen here receiving their certificates of completion.

Federation Clemente offers free, socially supported, university education in the humanities delivered in a community setting. The Clemente project is directed at community members who may have previously missed the opportunity to participate in university education. Together, Federation University and local community organisations support people to access enhanced educational and learning opportunities.

Federation Clemente operates under the principle that education can empower people to understand and reflect on the world in which they live. In turn, this intellectual engagement can promote community engagement and a broader connection with society, encouraging people to expand their opportunities and determine their own path.

We hope to offer Clemente in 2020 (subject to funding). If you would like to make a donation toward this valuable work, please contact: Julie D’Angelo Kaik – j.dangelokaik@federation.edu.au

What a wonderful project, it must be life-changing for those who participate. I’m interested to know, is it going ahead for 2020?
